Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another day

It was raining this morning and the other day I found my umbrella so left on my walk as usual.  About a mile later the sun started to come out.  It did rain again later though.
I was surprised to see a heron in town at the little pond.
This little deer watched me walk by and let me take a picture.
I see lots a chipmunks but so far they have been too fast and I haven't been able to get a picture.  I walked down a road between two corn fields and I think they live in there.
I walked passed some pretty day lilies.
I really don't miss my walk around the lake like I thought I would.  I have such pretty scenery to enjoy on my walks here and really love it here.  I think as long as I have a place to walk I'd be happy. : )

I walked 5.6 miles.

We stopped by the house again just a little while ago.  Ken and Michelle wanted to show us how to use and clean the pellet stove that is in the house.  She was also cleaning the oven for me and the bathrooms too.  This is going to be the cleanest house I've ever moved into.  I've thanked her many times for it too.
A few of you have mentioned how well we are getting along them and yes, that is true.  They are really nice people.  They will be moving back to the area in 5 years, so we will eventually see them again.

Wednesday and Thursday the movers will be coming to pack up Ken and Michelle's things and then on Friday the movers will load everything into the truck and away they go.  That's when we get to move in.  : )

I took this picture out the trailer door looking up at the sky.  I thought it looked kind of neat with the contrail through the clouds like that.
Hope all is well in your part of the world.
Have a great day.
THREE MORE DAYS!

I'll be thinking of you Friday. This is so exciting. I'd be the same way - give me a nice place to walk and I will be happy. Art

PS: 105 miles, eh? Well that would be a long day trip but doable. I bet it is particularly gorgeous (and popular) in the fall.

I 'm sure you will not have any problem finding good picture taking opportunities. The deer was my favorite this time. So pretty!

You have such a great outlook on leaving your old place and finding new adventures in your new place.
It is fun to tag along with you and see the sights and wildlife.
Now, I'm counting down with you to see YOUR new home. How nice that it will be spic n' span.

I've told you this before--but I love reading your blog. You are always HAPPY (perfect name for you)--and you seem to adjust to changes so easily. You and Ken seem to be a great team --and this move has been just perfect for you. Glad you are so HAPPY.

Hugs,
Betsy

Look at all this wildlife coming out to welcome you! Unbelievable! Fantastic photos...I had to look at all of them more closely. Time's going so fast!

Funny how the deer stopped for you to take a picture. Maybe his cousin that lives near Centennial Lake communicated about your moving to Accident!
I honestly thought you would enjoy your walks as much there as here; you always look for the good in everything. MJ

You know, the lake was great while you had it, but now you have all new areas to walk and explore. For me, even spectacular stuff can seem boring after while. It is just great that you have all new places to explore now.
