Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Back to the lake for a walk

A beautiful sunny morning and I walked over to the lake.  I don't usually go on a Saturday because it's too crowed but I went anyway because it has been a while since I've been there.  It was nice to walk around the lake again but there sure were a lot of people and activity going on.  It seemed like a Sunday afternoon.  Lots of fishermen there at the edge of the water and also lots of boats on the lake.  I stopped counting after 10 boats.  People were also there setting up tents and tables for some kind of event. Then there were the usual Saturday morning running clubs there too.  It really is nice that so many people come to enjoy the lake but as you know I like it when there is hardly anyone there.

When I looked at this picture I noticed how some of the clouds are lined in yellow and thought it looked really cool.
I saw the heron flying away from the lake and no deer were about that I could see.  Probably in hiding from all the activity.
Just as I got to the lake I heard a woodpecker and stopped to try to find out where he was.  Then I spotted him in a tree.  I took 9 pictures and this is the best one. He is kind of hidden and I had to zoom in to get him.
I called my mother and we talked while I was walking and when I got to the bench on the path by the stream behind the church, sat on it and finished talking and then walked home.

I found 2 pennies.
I walked 5.7 miles.

Ken did more work on the lower level of the house and I cleaned up my office and in other parts of the house put some of the stuff sitting around just for decoration away.  Don't want the house to look cluttered when it goes up for sale.  I walk around the house trying to see how it looks from a buyers point of view.

We went out after lunch to do a few things and then came home and sat out on the deck for a while in the nice bright sunshine.

It sure has been a beautiful sunny day.
Hope your Saturday has been a happy and sunny day for you.

Kim - I don't find many coins up around HT or in town either.  I'll have to walk to the gas station and the Dollar General parking lots.  Maybe I'll find some there. : )
Auntie - We will be moving into the new house the end of July or beginning of August.  The people there now will be moving to New Mexico then and we said that would be fine with us.
