Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A walk and then up to Happy Trails

A chilly start to the morning.  Only 32 degrees but the sun was shining, there was no wind and it was great to be out walking.

I walked around the lake again and there was a mist over the water.  I take quite a lot of pictures of this scene, but it is one of my favorites.

I saw lots of bunnies but no deer today.  The birds were happily chirping away.  They seemed extra happy. : )  I saw a Baltimore Oriole.  Don't see them very often.

Quite a few people out around the lake enjoying the cool crisp weather.  I saw everything from people wearing gloves to tee shirts and shorts.

I thought these wild flowers looked pretty along the path by one of the footbridges.
Posting early today because we are heading up to Happy Trails in a little while.  Ken is loading up the truck as I type this.  We hope to get a good bit done on the shed there so we can store more things for the move. The more we can move now the better.

Off I go to help Ken.
Hope your day is a happy one filled with sunshine.

Cheryl - I'd love to walk the lake with you.  How about next Monday?
Vee -  That is exactly how I feel.  Everything is in His hands and it is working out how it is supposed to. : )  So many things have 'just happened' at the right time.
Auntie - Yes, yes I want more stuff around.  I don't like it so empty - no personality to it.  All the stuff is what makes it home. : )
Betty - I walk a mile in 15 minutes.

I'm about to go for a walk myself and thought I'd check in on a few blogs before I do.
Hope your trip to HT is fun and productive.

From your post, sounds like all of nature is happy this morning in your neck of the woods. You walk at a pretty good clip if you are doing one mile in 15 minutes. I am usually doing a bit more than 2 miles in about 40-45 minutes so I probably need to pick up pace! Have a great trip to H.T.. Hope you get a lot accomplished toward your move! Have a lovely, happy day!

Quite ambitious plans for the time at Happy Trails. I hope you are able to accomplish all you have planned on this trip.

The morning was filled with "excitement" ... that is all I will say. You will need to catch up with me to find out the details!

I have only seen one Baltimore Orile in my life. What a beautiful bird they are!! I hope to see one again someday.

It might be the last chilly morning for a while. When I walked 4 miles after work yesterday with a friend, it was 90F!
