Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A short walk

Just a short 4 mile walk for me this morning.  It was 41 degrees and sunny.  So nice now that the sun is already up when I leave, though now I don't get to see the sunrise.

As you can see from the picture everything is so pretty and green.

Started my walk going over to the liquor store looking for coins but no luck today.
I walked down the road and then home along the path.
I saw a few rabbits and a few deer too.  A couple of people walking dogs and that was it.  Pretty quiet out there.
For the month of April I found 84 cents.
2 quarters
2 dimes
14 pennies

I had a short walk because I had a doctors appointment this morning.  Nothing wrong just had to get some blood drawn for tests for my annual check up coming up next month which is a couple years overdue!!

Did a couple loads of laundry and as I was hanging my clothes up outside I realized that when we move I can have has many clothes lines as I want in my yard and I'm sure I won't be offending anyone there!! : )
I've noticed quite a few of my future neighbors have clothes lines as I walk to and around town.

Haven't been doing much of anything today.  I keep walking around the house trying to decide what I should do to get ready for moving but it seems too early to do anything yet.  Ken has to clean up the lower floor and I really can't help him because it is all his stuff.   Of the two, of us he is the one who likes to hold on to stuff.  I'm always ready to get rid of things.

Well, I guess I'd better go and get something ready for supper.  We have a few errands to do afterwards.

Here is it Friday already.  Now that Ken is retired Fridays seem like just any another day. : )

Hope yours is a good one.

Betsy - The upper shed will be used for storage and the over flow from the tractor barn.  The tractor takes up so much room there is not much room for anything else.

Such exciting times for you and Ken!
The reason I asked about Romney was that we own 17 acres of land near Romney and the way you describe your area it sounded somewhat similar. Not sure what we are going to do with our land yet - we've had it for many years.
Really excited to see all of the changes coming around for you!!

It sounds wonderful.

Your walk sounds like a lovely one today. I haven't had a clothesline since we moved here nine years ago. I remember how nice the clothes would smell when they were dried outside.

I already thought about the can-hang-all-the-clothes-out part!!! And loved the thought! :-)

Annual check up over due. You won;t do that again, I'm sure. :-)))))))))))

Wondering when you think you will be moving to the new house?????? Sort of think you will move, that is?

Your walking route does look very green and fresh.
Have you found any good places to hunt for coins near your new neighborhood?
It sounds like you will be in good shape when it comes time to move. We've been in this house for 14 years. Just the thoughts of packing all of the stuff we've accumulated is enough to make me stay put :).
