Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Teresa

We left first thing this morning for Happy Trails and got there mid morning.  Ken gets the outside stuff put away and I take care of the getting things unpacked in the trailer.
We have plenty of water this time - came up with three water barrels filled.
Ken was busy with the water and getting the barn straightened out.  He's putting up shelves and trying to get things organized, not an easy task.

I mainly walked around the land having a good old time but I did clear out a little more of Babbling Brook.
I walked along here for a while and as you can see there is not much greenery around here yet.
Some yellow weeds I came across.  At first I thought they were dandelions but I don't know what they are.
I walked down to the road and was walking back up the hill and I saw a car coming down the road.  It was our neighbor Ron and I couldn't believe it but he had a passenger in the front seat and it was none other than the phantom wife Teresa!!   So she really does exist.  : )  Ron stopped the car and we had a nice chat for about 10 minutes.  She is very nice and we seem to hit it off.  It will be nice to have a friend up here! : )

The day has been a pleasant sunny day but late afternoon it clouded up and we had some thunder showers.  They didn't last long but did make it cooler.

Ken stayed out in the barn and I stayed inside the trailer and did a little reading until it was time to run down the mountain and have some supper.

Made a stop at Lowe's ( there is always something we need from there) and then our regular stop here at McDonald's.

It's been a good day and we look forward to another one tomorrow. : )
Hope you're happy today.
Happyone : )

The photo in your new header is so pretty. It looks like a redbud tree. Is it at Happy Trails or your regular walking route?
You and Ken seem to have worked out a good system. I'm sure you will be glad to have plenty of water.
Glad to hear that the phantom wife does really exist ;-). So nice that you hit it off right away.
Enjoy the rest of your time at Happy Trails.

So there is a WIFE???? ha ha ... Glad you met Teresa!!!! I'm sure you all have some new friends on the mountain.

Pretty little yellow wildflowers. I'm sure there will be lots of 'green' up there soon. However, it has turned cold here tonight --and we have yet another fire in the fireplace to take the chill out of the house. Goodness!!!!

Have fun!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Have fun! I'm glad you made a new friend. My guess is you make friends easily. It is so green here compared to Happy Trails.

Does she know that she's a phantom? Have you invited her to read the blog? ☺

how did you unload the water barrels since they were full? By my calculations the weight would be about 520 pounds each?
