Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Mowing day

This morning was cloudy and 44 degrees.  I walked around the lake again.
The heron was there as well as the white egret, many birds, four deer and a few bunnies too.  Not much luck on capturing any good pictures, at least not with the camera.  It is always beautiful to be out walking and just enjoying the outdoors. : )

It was mowing day at the lake and there were several huge mowers getting the job done.  Here is one getting the side along the path mowed.  They always stop when people approach to let us pass by safely.
The usual amount of people out but an odd thing I didn't see anyone with dogs.  That is very unusual!!

I found a quarter.
Walked   6.3 miles

It has been a couple of weeks since I've been to the Tuesday knitting group and it was nice to get there again to meet up with friends, talk and to get a little knitting done too.  One of my friends has just returned from a trip to Peru and we got to hear all about it. I didn't take a count of people but there were about a dozen of us.  I knitted on another baby blanket while there.

I'm glad I washed my car yesterday because it was so nice driving around in a nice clean car!!! : )

Later this afternoon we'll be packing things up again to head up to Happy Trails first thing tomorrow morning.

I'll be back posting at McDonald's tomorrow evening! : )
Hope your Tuesday is sunny and bright.

I am envious of the wildlife you are able to see while taking your walks! I would have to get in the car and drive to a location where there might be a chance of that around here.

I meant to tell you that while we were shopping Saturday, I looked down to see three pennies and said to John, "Karen would pick those up." He bent right down and picked them up. Ha! We're off to a great start.

Have fun at Happy Trails. Hope that the weather is just right for doing the projects on the "to do" list.

You know spring is near when you start hearing the sounds of lawnmowers again...I love the sound of lawnmowers in the distance on a Sunday morning.
