Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

New Office

Happy Saturday folks. : )  It was 30 degrees this morning on my walk.  I walked my connect the path route again which has the trail that goes behind the school.  This is my favorite route next to walking around the lake.  It has a nice variety which takes me along roads, paths and trails.
When I say path is it a paved pathway
and when I say trail I mean unpaved.
There is a man I see quite often with his camera taking pictures over by the lake.  Today I saw him along one of the paths.  Seemed odd seeing him in a different place then usual.
I also came across Petey and John who I haven't seen for a while.  They've been walking, we just haven't been on the one path they walk on together for a while.  So nice to see them again and stopped and chatted for a bit.  Most of you know about them but for those of you who don't you can see a picture and read about them on a previous blog post HERE.

All the deer came out from hiding today because I saw 8 of them.  Also heard a woodpecker but just couldn't find him in the trees.

I found a nickle and a penny.
My steps for this walk was 13,123.

We didn't get the computer desk in my office last night again and we looked for curtains  but didn't find any I liked.  I didn't think it would be so hard to find curtains.  We went to Sears, Penny's, Target, WalMart, and Kohl's.

When I got back from my walk Ken said he wanted to see the paint color in my office in the daylight and we both went upstairs to look at it.  When I opened the door there was the computer desk sitting right in its place!!  He took it apart, brought it down, and then put it together again to surprise me.  I thought that was such a nice thing to do.  I said thank you by making French toast for breakfast. : )

We went out again today looking for curtains and found some in the unlikely place of Lowe's.  We should have went there first because that is where I ended up buying the curtains for the living room a few years ago.  They are very light panels of pale lavender with lavender flowers with some little sparkly things sewn on.  They are fun and cheery and bright and I love them!!
When we got home I put the curtains up right away and set up the rest of my office and now here I sit in my new room.
Here are a few pictures of my New Office.  I took the first two pictures standing in the doorway - first to the right, then the far corner, and the third picture I was standing by the rocking chair.

Now I have the kitchen desk area to do and then the loft.  So my work isn't over yet, but I probably won't do any more today.

We haven't had pizza yet this week so I think it's time we remedy that. : )
Hope you're Saturday has been happy and bright.

Oh perfect! Ken's sweetness made me smile... The curtains are so cheerful and feminine. You're so going to enjoy being there in that room.

I found a dime today and chortled. John asked me what that was all about and I told him so now he thinks we should have a "found money" jar, too. =D

Wow, the curtains are perfect! The room look lovely.

I haven't done curtains or drapes in 27 years. When we move into this town house we decided to go with blinds as a window treatment. They are wood and have a nice header. And because they are professionally done and not a fabric they have lasted for 27 years and look as good as they day we had them installed. I would love curtains again, but probably won't ever have them. It would just be something that the cats would play with.
