Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

MIssing piece

27 degrees, no wind and once the sun rose it was a sun and cloud mix.  I walked the  connect the path route with the trail behind the school in it.

I haven't seen any deer for a few days now.  Quite a few people out this morning, walking, running, walking dogs, and a couple of bike riders.

Walked by a house that had a huge pile of dirt in front of it and a long ditch that had been dug up.  Looked like a problem with their sewer - don't envy them - been there before.

Found a dime and a penny.
Steps for this walk were 12,253.

We finished the puzzle last night.
Odd thing about this puzzle is that one of the edge pieces were missing but then there were two pieces exactly the same out of the middle of the puzzle.
We seem to be on a puzzle kick and I'll take this one apart later and start the next one.

After a late start I left for the commissary.  Lots of traffic on the base but not many people shopping.  Got my shopping done and once back home got all the stuff put away.  I know many people don't like food shopping or putting it all away but I enjoy doing both.

Had some lunch and then went in the loft to get started.  I cleaned up those boxes but didn't put the polyethylene on them.  Then I moved a few things around and tried to get everything organized.  Nothing ready for pictures though!!

I've made a goal to read 52 books this year - one a week, but I haven't even finished the first one of the year yet!  I'm not going to stress about it though - it just seemed like a good number to strive for.

Another warm afternoon in the 50's but it's been a cloudy day and we got a little rain too.

Hope you had a few happy happenings today.

Debbie, here's a LINK all about weave-it looms. The Weave-it Loom is not made anymore but you can find them on ebay or just google 'weave-it like looms' and you will be able to find some.   Also check out Hazel Rose Looms.  They make small wooden hand held looms.

In the photo it looks like late fall in Norway.
We have snow and icy roads right now. I like the snow but not the icy roads. You know I like to walk during all seasons. I hope you are fine and happy :)

Thanks so much for the link on weave-it looms. I think 52 books is a great number to shoot for. My goal is always 24 (2 per month, but I usually read more. You are right not to stress about reading, after all, we read to relax, right! Love your fun puzzle. Thanks for sharing your day.

You really are on a roll with the puzzles. I have never seen the situation you describe...wonder if someone is going to have two edge pieces and a hole in the middle.

That's odd about your puzzle piece. I think the quality control were slacking that day.
I just finished a really good book today. May include it in a post. I have never thought to count my books for the year, but I'm sure it wouldn't be near the amount you read.
We are having very mild temps here too. It's supposed to be 74 on Saturday, which is warm even for us.
I did take a nice walk today and thought of you. Didn't find any money though :).

I do believe I lost my original comment!

We've had rain today, so the pretty skies of the past couple of days are not with us any longer.

I love grocery shopping, too! I always seem to exceed the budget, though.:-(

Enjoy your evening!

I hate it when a puzzle has a piece missing!

Brrrrrrrr, that first picture looks cold. But even deep and frozen winter, has its beauty.

I like your plan... Picking a number of books, to strive for. Not to fuss over. To strive for. I like that way, a lot. :-)
