Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The new bench

It was surprisingly warm this morning - 68 degrees and very humid.  It felt more like summer.  It was a misty morning and I felt like I was walking in the clouds.  At times when a breeze kicked up it sounded and felt like it was raining out.  The drops of water off the trees felt good though!

I headed on over to the lake and walked around it.  Saw a lot of the regular people who I always see.
A few bunnies around were at the edges of the paths having breakfast.  All the geese seem to be back by the lake now.  They were making quite the ruckus - coming and going, chasing each other around and making lots of noise doing everything.

A little while back I posted a picture of just the frame of a bench that was over by the lake.  We now have a nice new bench.
I walked 6.2 miles.

I left the house this morning with chocolate chip cookies in hand and went for my hair appointment.  Time to get those roots covered up and I got about an inch trimmed off.  The ends were starting to get a bit straggly looking.
Cheryl did a good job as usual getting me looking as good as can be expected. : )  Happy to say that Meghan was there so I had one of those fabulous hair washes again.

Ken took the day off because he had to go to the eye doctor.  His appointment was the same time as my hair appointment.  Thankfully Ken's eyes are good. : )

We met back home a little after 12:00.  Ken took a picture of me sitting on the front steps.  Hair has blown around a bit already.
We left to have lunch at Olive Garden and we both got the soup, salad and bread stick lunch.  From there we hopped on over to Lowes to pick up the siding for the tractor barn and loaded it into the truck.
We are anxious to get up to Happy Trails and start putting up the siding.  We are leaving Friday after work.

Now I have to get a few things done around the house and read some blogs.
Hope all is well in your part of the world. : )

You look terrific and your hair does, too. I think your hairdresser has a lot to work with.

The weather hasn't been particularly cooperative on the East Coast to get a whole lot accomplished this week. That and it's blowing the leaves off that we haven't even had the chance to see.

I'm wondering what color you guys decided on...

Looks like you and Ken will be busy at Happy Trails this weekend.

Well, what a nice day YOU have had! Your hair looks really nice! Now there is a bench for you to rest, should you need one while you are walking. Picking up siding is exciting, and I would be agreeable to a lunch at Olive Garden.:)
