Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Pictures of Fall

A bit chilly here this morning and cloudy.  I left for my walk into town at 8:00 and it was only 39 degrees.  On my way I took pictures of the trees dressed in their fall colors.  Here's a sampling of what caught my eye.

Ken picked me up an hour and a half later after I walked 6 miles and then we went to MacDonalds for a breakfast of pancakes.

Back at the trailer I straightened things up and Ken went outside to work on the ramp to the tractor barn.  I came out later to help.

After lunch it started to rain again so Ken stayed inside the tractor barn and puttered around doing things. He got the electrical work done in the room upstairs. I opted to stay inside the nice warm trailer and read.  I've started a book by Elizabeth Berg called Home Safe and liked it right from the start.  I few blogger friends recommended this author and I thank all of you. : )

We both got cleaned up (so nice to be able to take showers) and left to have supper at Brenda's.  Had a great pizza and we usually don't get dessert but we did this time.  Shared a piece of chocolate cake that is just too good for words!! : )

Once again here we are in the MacDonald's parking lot so I can post this.

Haven't been able to get very much work done because of the weather but still enjoying our time here.  We should get some of the siding done tomorrow.

Tonight is the second episode of the new British show Call the Midwife and want to get back in time to watch it.  Any of you watching it?

I missed going to Sunday school and church today but will be back once again next week. : )
Hope your Sunday was a happy day for you.

The weather has been most unpredictable and showery here, too. Oh my! Karen, the colors there are simply gorgeous. Thank you for sharing them I'd say that they are high or at peak. What say you?

What beautiful colors on those trees! The rain does seem to put a damper on plans at times.:( Hopefully you will be able to catch up a bit tomorrow.

It has been AGES since I've had a "proper" taste of pizza.:) Next time you have some, remember me.:)

I especially love the really, really red leaves. :-)

Didn't recognize the author. So looked her and her books up. Nope, guess I have never read her.

I did read a Susanna Kearsley book, which I loved-to-pieces! Must get the books of hers, which I have not yet read. I so, so, so love her books. :-)

And of course, I've returned to the Fey, for a while. :-))))

Those trees are so gorgeous! One of the things I miss from back East is all of the trees and being able to watch them change right out my window.
