Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Home again

I walked down into town again this morning.  Temperature was a couple of degrees warmer at 36 degrees.  It was cloudy but seemed like the sun was trying to break through the clouds.
I smiled when I walked by this back yard with clothes hanging on the line.  She must have felt sure that the sun was eventually going to come out! : )
I walked my usual route around town.
I walked 6 miles.
The sun never did come out while I was walking but about 10:00 it finally popped out and it was a beautiful sunny day and the temperature made it to 60.

Ken got to at last get some of the siding up and here's a picture of the front done on the second story.  There was quite a lot of cutting to be done so he was up and down the ladder a lot.
The siding is vinyl board and batten and goes up vertically.  The color is called granite gray.  It's a little lighter than we wanted but like the color fine.  With the white trim and black roof we think it looks good.

The siding was up by lunch time.  After lunch we went for a walk around Happy Trails and then cleaned things up and headed back home.  We wished we could have stayed because the day was so nice after the three half days of rain.  But there is always next week to do a little more work.
We really want to have the siding done before it gets really cold and the snows come.  We probably won't be going up so often once it gets real cold, at least not to work.  It all depends on the weather.

We were home by suppertime and made some spaghetti for supper.  Tonight it will be nice to relax and watch some television and of course have some ice cream. : )
We look forward to going up to Happy Trails and we also look forward to coming back home again.

A happy day to you my friend.
Happyone : )

Variety is the spice of life! I really like the siding; I like that it goes up vertically and it just has a pleasant look. The color is great, too, and does look superb with the black roof and white trim. Just lovely!
