Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Great walking weather

41 degrees and it was a dry, crisp, fall morning.  Really perfect walking weather.  I walked my 'circles' route and  saw a few people out walking their dogs.  A couple of runners out and both of them were in shorts and tee shirts!!

The only wild life I saw were squirrels and birds.

Walking through the Giant parking lot I found a lucky penny.

It was one of those super nice walking mornings when I just didn't feel like going home.  I had nowhere I had to be going this morning so I just prolonged my walk a little and walked around the neighborhood a bit.
I walked 7.8 miles.

Didn't feel like having my usual cereal for breakfast so I made myself a pancake.  A few chocolate chips added and topped off with syrup and with a glass of cold milk made for a delicious breakfast!! : )

Washed the sheets, hung them out to dry and then went out and did a few errands.  A nice sunny day to take a drive so I went home the long way and enjoyed a little ride in my car.

Once I was back home it was time to get to that ironing.  There were ten of Ken's shirts to do but I only ironed eight of them.  I thought that was enough for one day.  I watched a few I Love Lucy episodes to help get through it.  One was where she can't find her passport in Italy and another one when she gambles by accident and wins a lot of money after Ricky tells her not to gamble.  No matter how many times I watch Lucy it always makes me laugh. : )

I'm making something with chicken tonight for supper, just don't know what yet.  I'm going to look up some recipes and try something different.  I'm in the mood for mashed potatoes so I'm going to make them too, add a  vegetable and I'll be all set.

Hope your day went well and you smiled many times during the day. : )

Watch out! You'll be walking 10.8 miles in no time at that rate. =D I don't know how you get through any of the shirts. If John doesn't like them fresh from the dryer...oh well! The sheets must smell wonderful on such a day. I watched Lucy a few weeks ago and laughed all over again. Her stuff holds up over time.

Sounds like a pleasant day.
You're further ahead on your dinner plans that I am. Here it is 5:30 and I haven't a clue. Ha ha, some days are better than others in that department.
I Love Lucy still makes me laugh too.
Great quote today.

How, I love how far you walk every day! I only get about 2.5 miles on a good day...that's all I really have time for. I also love "I love Lucy" and I do need to do some ironing this afternoon so maybe I will follow your example and put some "Lucys" on to watch!

Years ago when we were newly married we watched reruns of I Love Lucy every night. I haven't seen them in a long time. I will have to look them up.

I'm a Lucy fan too. If there's anyone who gets through an episode without laughing, I want to meet them. I bought a DVD set of several of her episodes awhile back. When I'm feeling a little low, I put one on and immediately my spirits are lifted! It's been wonderful walking weather, agreed! I bet your surprise chicken dish turns out great!

I need "I Love Lucy" to help me through the ironing, too.:) Great walking!

I really admire you! Walking and ironing and making chocolate chip pancakes!

I love mashed potatoes. Let us know how you fixed the chicken.

"Dry, crisp..." What delightful sounding words. :-) We too had a lovely day on Thurs. But Fri. greet me, with wet everything. -sigh-

Well we had yesterday.

Watching some thing on the telly, an old show or a rental, is a good way to get something done... Something we don't really love doing. :-) Oh yes!!!
