Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

What a blue sky!!

Back to nice walking mornings already.  A cool 57 degrees.  It was cloudy at first but not for long.  A nice sunny morning walk. Walked part way around the lake and then took the path leading up to the road.  I was going to walk back home that way but once I got to the road and saw all the cars I turned around and walked down by the lake.

I spotted a deer and lots of rabbits.  Quite a few geese were flying away from the lake in their well known V formation.  You can barely see some of them in the above picture.

An average amount of people around the lake for the middle of the week.
I walked 6.4 miles.

I didn't need that much but made a list up and went to the commissary.  I made one up of only 20 items so I could go on the express line.
I drove to the base the back way and it was 13.8 miles.  Coming home I took the highway and it was 16.6 miles.  The back way is a nicer ride and that is the way I usually go.  The highway of course is faster even though longer.
Walking back to my car with my groceries I just had a thought that as I am walking here everyone I know is doing something at this exact moment.  Sometimes I stop and just wonder what that something is.  Does any one else wonder that or am I just strange!?

This afternoon after taking the clothes off the line I just put them in the kitchen and didn't bother to fold them right away.  I had a few things to do around the house, but I took a granny smith apple out of the refrigerator, picked up my book and went back outside on the deck and read for an hour.  It was a beautiful day to be outside and I just wanted to spend a bit of time out there.  I took this picture from the deck.
Then I came back inside and did the things I had to do.

Ken had to work a little later than usual but he's home now and we are about to start watching a new television series from Netflix.  It's another British show called Lillies.

No ice cream tonight - I will be having four of my chocolate chippers.

I hope you got to enjoy a beautiful day. : )

Vee, we are still watching season one of Once Upon a Time.  We will just continue to watch them through Netflix.  This way we can watch when we want and don't have to have commercials. : )

Oh that's a good idea. I'll try to remember and not spoil.

Yes, I do think things like that. Further, I sometimes think what it would be like if all buildings were gone and all cars, yet we could still see people going on with their lives. John thinks we've both been drinking. LOL!

Yes, I have the same thought at times. There are so many people all around, and I often wonder if there is anyone doing what I am doing.:)

What a sweet 'wondering.' Kind of stopping and musing, what all your friends are doing, at that very minute. Sweet.

I do that, when I get up early (like today). I know that you are walking, even though it's still dark out and etc. Oh yes, I do think-of-you, in the early mornings, a LOT!

Not that I could start walking this early myself, at this point. So it wouldn't do any good, to wish we lived closer. :-)

And let's see... Now it is 7:05am. You are probably near home. :-)

I applaud your way of watching "OUaT." It is at your leisure, and no commercials.

We who watch it, in real time, MUST PUT "SPOILER", in our blog entry subject line!!!!!!!!!!! When we discuss the latest plot lines.

One can learn to do that. Years ago, I was on an international mailing list of fandom for a syndicated show. ("Highlander, the Series") In the US, we got shows before in Europe. So we HADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD to remember "SPOILER" in our Subject Line!!!

Or we would GET "FLAMED"... And we knew it! :-))))
