Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A work of art

Some sun and clouds when I walked around the lake this morning and 68 degrees.  I usually go to the right up here on the path around the lake, but today I went straight and went around the opposite way for a change.  The up and down hills are pretty much  even no matter which way around.

I saw a couple of deer, a ground hog, and a few rabbits.  Most of the geese are still gone.  These two ducks are always together.  I've been seeing them around the lake for a couple of years now.
Another nice walk but nothing unusual today.
I walked 6.2 miles.
Sunrise 6:06
Sunset 8:21
With the sun rising a minute or two earlier each morning,
it won't be long before I start seeing the sunrise again.

Always have lots of laundry to do after a weekend of work so I did a couple of loads and got them out on the line first thing when I got back from walking.

Then I spent some time this morning getting caught up on some blog reading.  I get behind every weekend that we go up to the country.  I usually just have time enough to write a post.

Ken made a pizza last night for supper which we usually do on Sundays.  I make the crust and he has the work of making the actual pie.
Last night he made one of garlic and used the fresh basil that is growing on my kitchen window sill.   Here is it just before it went in the oven.  I told him it was a work of art.  : )  That little part with just the garlic is for me!  Kenny always makes me a little section of just garlic bread.  : )
Just hanging around the house the rest of the afternoon.  Maybe I'll get to do a little reading.  Haven't been doing that much lately and that is not like me to take so long to read a book.  I'm still reading Little Women.

Hope all is going well for you today.
A smile from me to you.
