Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A good days work

A cloudy and cool morning and no rain at all on my walk.  Today I turned right at the end of the road and went past my horse friends.  They looked up and watched me walk by.   I walked along this country road and didn't any people or cars.
But I did see this beautiful scene.
A couple of weeks ago I took a picture off a bridge looking down on a road.  This is for you Vee- This is from the road looking up at the bridge.
Was I got back to the main road I turned right and walked along here up the hill.  It may not look very steep but it is about a mile and a half all uphill.  I good workout for sure!
This route was one big walk around the block and was 5 miles long.

Ken was busy while I was walking and put the little window in on the top floor.  After breakfast we both went out to get started on the sheathing on the roof.
We saw a heron fly right over our clearing and then a few minutes later saw a little hummingbird.  What a contrast between the two birds but both incredible to see.

At lunch time the tractor building looked like this and we were quite happy with how much work we got done.
It was a good weather day for working.  Cool, cloudy and in the 60's and no rain.  We had a couple minutes of sun but that was it.

I brought the chocolate chippers I made up to Ron our neighbor and he was most grateful.  Still no sign of mystery wife!

A full afternoon of work and left with the tractor barn looking like this.

We cleaned up, had supper and then left for home at 7:00.  That was a great time for leaving traffic wise.  Very light. We were home before 10:00
I'm about to go sit in my chair and have a little bowl of ice cream.  We'll probably be going to bed late tonight.

Hope all is well in your part of the world and that you had a sunshiny kind of day.

Wow. You did get a lot accomplished. It's looking really fine. Thanks for the other shot; now I'll go back and find the first and put them together.

Making amazing progress. So glad the weather was so great, for working too.

Mmmmmm, has this neighbor ever said he has a wife??????????????

For some crazy reason, this reminds me of the scene in the old flick "Elephant Walk," with Elizabeth Taylor. Remember that one???? She goes down to the first dinner party, expecting to meet the WIVES of her husband's male friends and neighbors.

Nope! No wives, had they. -gigggles-

Your building just keeps growing - it's a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. Looks like great walking country - lovely views.
