Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another geese family

Another hot morning like yesterday.  It was 72 degrees this morning at 6:30 when I left on my walk this morning.  I walked around the lake.  I stayed on paved paths because there would have been more biting bugs in among the greenery.  I walked around the lake.  Once in a while a nice breeze would come along and it felt sooooo good.

There was the usual amount of people out around the lake but I didn't see any fishermen.

A few rabbits were eating grass at the edge of the path.  I saw another family of geese.  So much for that guy telling me I wouldn't be seeing many babies this year because of the greasing of the eggs. I had to zoom in on them to get this picture.  There are seven babies.
As I was leaving the lake I almost stepped on this little snake which I guess is a baby.  He was right in the middle of the path taking in a little sun.  Doesn't he blend in well?
I was pretty hot when I got back home and a nice cold drink of water really hit the spot!  I would have welcome a rain shower this morning. : )  I was wet anyway!
I walked 6 miles.

It is knitting day and I did plan on going but I just never got around to it.   I did a couple loads of laundry and hung them out to dry and then started reading some blogs.  Looked at the clock and saw that it was already after 10:00 so I just stayed home.

I went out later at 12:00 though to pick up MaryJo and we had lunch at Olive Garden.  Being the nice person that she is, she treated me. : )

There is a RV dealer not too far from us and Ken is going to try to get home on time today and we will be going over there to take a look at what they have in stock.  It is a pretty big dealer so I am really excited about this.

I'd better go and finish things up around the house so I'll be ready if Ken gets home in a little while.

Hope your day is one of those super good days.

Your first photo is so sweet. The second one ... not so much ;-). I would have screamed if I almost stepped on him.
I didn't realized I had missed so many of your posts. Loved your walk on the country roads. The bug bites sound miserable. I hope you are able to find a travel trailer. It sounds like the way to go. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I especially like your Einstein quote. It is my daily goal to live according to the second way mentioned.

I like your pictures, especially the one of the snake. Our grandson has had three attempts at having a pet snake.

Hi Karen, We thought we were going to get rain twice today... It got dark and we had thunder...But the rain just went all around us (except for a few drops which just seemed to make it more humid).....

We love Olive Garden... I could make a meal on their salad and bread sticks... ha

Good Luck buying an RV.
Hugs,
Betsy

Still no rain here and we are getting desperate for some

Good luck RV hunting.

The Olive Garden is one of my favorite places to eat. Love the soup and sandwich special at lunch.
