Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A typical Monday

It was in the mid forties when I walked this morning.  Not walking as far and fast I don't get as warm as usual.  I had my nice enjoyable 3.3 mile walk along my shortened route while my leg gets back to normal.  I walk down the main road and then turn in here at the path which takes me back to the main road again so I make a nice circle.
There were many robins all along my route.  It really feels like spring when I see them hopping all over the place and hear them chirping.  They seem to be the happiest birds to me.  Have you ever watched them in a bird bath?  They have such fun!!
It was nice when the sun came out and to see it shining through the trees.  A very pretty morning!
I even found a lucky penny.

Ken finished up all 15 trusses.  He made a pattern on the floor and then just had to put the cut pieces of wood down and with his NEW NAIL GUN (which he loves) nail them together.  He is making them in the woodworking shed here.
Here he is carrying a finished one to stack it up with the rest of the finished ones in the garage.

It's been sunny today but on the chilly side from what we have been used to and it's pretty windy too.
Home today spending a typical day at home.  Trying to get some cleaning done so I can putter around doing what I want to.

Don't have to cook supper tonight because last time I made baked ziti I made two of them and just have to heat one up from the freezer today.  It is thawing out now.

I am planning on watching a television show tonight on PBS at 9:00 about the life of Margaret Mitchell.  Hope it is interesting as I imagine.

Hope where you are it is a day of sunshine.

you'll never enjoy the sunshine.

That PBS special does sound good. Too bad that I'll be watching DWTS. Perhaps I can watch it on PBS. org one day.

Clever boy that Ken! He sure is handy. A great idea to build what he can at home and assemble up at the property.

No, I've never seen robins in a birdbath. Now I want to! I may have to youtube it.

Ziti...yummy...we're going out for hamburgers and I'll try not to think about p*nk sl*me.

Glad you are able to walk again --even though not as far or as fast. PLEASE take care....

Looks like you all will be making a trip to your land soon.

Gonna be out-of-pocket for a few days...
Hugs,
Betsy

Gosh your husband has been busy - how nice that you can build it yourselves. We have a bird bath right outside our kitchen window and I love to watch the birds bathing - especially the blackbird who spend ages splashing about.
