Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Day Two and Happy Easter

Up early and over to the property for a fun day of work!  It started on the cool side but the sun came out and warmed things up a bit.  A mostly sunny day but it did get cloudy in the afternoon and with the clouds came the wind which made it chilly.
Once again Ken did most of the work but I helped where I could by lifting and holding, measuring and getting the tools and things that Ken needed.
Ken worked hard and he said it was nice to see that what he designed on paper is turning out how he planned!!

We made sandwiches for lunch and it was fun taking a break and having a little picnic on our land!!

Work is moving along nicely and today the floor joists have all been put in and most of the bracing.  What took most of the time was making sure all of it was level and square. This is what work looked like today at 2:30 when we quit for the day because we ran out of building supplies.
We made a trip to Lowe's which is 18 miles from our land and bought a whole truck load of wood for tomorrow.  Here is the truck loaded up with the lumber and Ken tying it all down nice and secure so we still have everything when we get back to the work site.
We made a quick stop at the house to get cleaned up and then headed back out for dinner at Uno's.
Now we are back at the house relaxing for the evening.
Weather report doesn't look so good for the next few days.  It is supposed to get cold and there is a chance of rain or SNOW showers. But we shall get done what we can and just enjoy our vacation.

I missed going to church this Easter being away but I didn't forget that it was Easter.
I am so thankful for what my Jesus did for me and everyone else.  He died on the cross for our sins and arose so we all may have his gift of eternal life just for believing.  How wonderful to have a risen Savior.

A very Happy Easter to each and every one.

How exciting it all is and how wonderful that Ken is fit and able to do all this building work. Hope the weather clears up for you.

I am totally amazed, of course, at what just the two of you can do together! Great job.

Wonderful work he is doing!!! Yes, it must be so gratifying, to see the plans-on-paper, take shape in reality!!!

Are you still being kind to your leg, my Dear?

The weather up our way, is not going to be nice, this week either. Guess we had our sun, for a while. Oh well... :-)
