Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Square progress

44 degrees, cloudy and a bit misty while walking.  By the time i got back home the clouds were making some room for the sun to shine through.
I didn't take any special route on my walk this morning and just walked around wherever i felt like going at the time.

I spotted a hawk like bird sitting on the peak of a roof on a house making what sounded like the squeal of a cat.  I couldn't get a picture because it was a bit dark out yet and too far away.  It did look like it had a reddish brown belly.  I looked in my bird book when i got back home and it may have been a Sharp-shinned Hawk but i'm not positive.
Walking along one of the paths i saw a whole flock of Robins in the trees.  Maybe they were taking a rest from the trip down south for the winter.
Two deer made it safely across the street with cars stopping in both directions to let them cross.
Someone even stopped to let me cross the street later on too.  It was a man of course.  Women just don't do that around here!
I only saw a couple of other people running with their dog along the path.
I walked 7 miles.  When I'm not walking a regular route i have a tendency to walk a little farther.  I'm just not paying attention to how far i go.

It is Tuesday and my knitting group day but i didn't go this morning.  Even though the sun was shinning by the time i had to leave, it was only 56 degrees and just a bit too cool for me to be sitting outside.

I have been working on weave-it squares and have finished these.  I have that many again to do and i will have enough squares for an afghan.
This is the one i will be raffling off for charity.  Details about the charity will be posted when the afghan is completed.

The White Afghan Sampler that has now been turned into a bedspread will be done in the next day or two.
These are the latest six i've knitted and this last square that i'm working on is the VERY LAST SQUARE!!!  It is NUMBER 99!!!  I've been sewing the strips as i've been finishing them so just have the last row of 9 to sew together.  I'll post a picture of the completed bedspread on my bed.
Though i didn't go out today to knitting, i did take a trip to the library.  A book i had requested was ready for pick up.  I picked up that one and five others.  I still have quite a few books yet to read by the end of the year if i am to make my 75 books a year goal!

I did a Body Electric work out yesterday and from not having done it for about a month, today a few of my muscles are a bit sore but i did another work out this afternoon anyway - just different muscles.  It's a good hurt though, feeling like it's getting the job done.

I made some bread and zipped around the house with the vacuum.  I'm still liking my Dyson!!

We have been watching Berkeley Square from Netflix in the evenings.  A British mini series about three nannies who meet and become friends in 1902. It's pretty good.

My favorite ice cream is still that Raspberry Chocolate Chip i discovered.  That along with a scoop of chocolate has been my snack the last few nights.  I've cut my ice cream portion down some for a while.  It's funny though because no matter how much or little i have when i'm done i always want more!!  So when i have a little, i just tell my self i've had a lot. : )

Thanks for all the welcome back comments! : )
Hope all went well with your day and sunshine came your way.
A happy Tuesday to you.

I don't know if I've ever tried Raspberry chocolate chip, but I most definitely want to now! I'll be interested to know how long it takes you to return to your usual weight. (I have cookies in the house. I must tell myself that I have eaten a lot and see if that works.)

The sun is shining here today and I went out for a walk, but only 2 miles. It sounds like you saw and heard a lot of wildlife on your walk.
I am always amazed at how quickly you turn out those afghans. I am looking forward to seeing the one you have made for your bed. It looks like it will be very pretty.

Raspberry Chocolate Chip ice cream sounds absolutely delicious. I can understand why you would want more. You're making great progress on your afghans.
