Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sick day

No walking for me today.  I'm taking a sick day.  By the time i went to bed last night my sore throat had gotten really bad, i had an awful headache and a fever.
A good night sleep did wonders and i feel a lot better today.  Since is was a rainy day i thought or rather Ken thought that it would a good idea for me to have a day of rest.
So i'm home taking it easy for the day.  Doing a little reading and some knitting.
Ken took the day off and has been home here with me to make sure i take it easy!! : )
He has made me a couple cups of tea too.  He takes good care of me!!

Vee, you were asking about the scarf pattern.  It is super easy.  Just cast on 16 stitches on size 11 needles.  It is just plain knitting, row after row until the ball of Fun Fur is used up.  The pattern was on the the label.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.
I'm sure i'll be back to walking tomorrow.
Happyone : )

Sounds as if you really needed a cozy day today, Karen. I'm glad that you listened to Ken. He must not think you will, though, if he took the day off to make sure that you stayed put. ☺

Okay, I think that I can manage that pattern. Easy knitting is my idea of fun. I hate counting and fretting.

Stay low and keep the cozy going!

So sorry to hear you are not well. Recover quickly reading those books and knitting. We miss the days when you can't take us on your walks with you :)

When you said about ignoring the sore throat yesterday........ Mmmmmm....

I'm sorry it has really developed. But it's sweet that Ken stayed with you, to make sure you really took the day off!

*Naughty* you, he shouldn't have to do that, but....... Tsk, tsk, tsk... You are just too stubborn sometimes, my Dear.

Now please, do not push yourself, more than is wise. I know it's hard for you but... Please.....

Or your "Auntie" will have to hop on her broom, and fly down there, and give you a good talking to. :-)))))))

Lots and lots of gentle hugs...
