Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A shorter walk and another rest day

I wasn't quite back to my normal self this morning like i thought i would be when i  woke up.  Everything seems to have settled in my chest and i have a dry cough.  So i stayed in bed while Ken got up and went to work.  I slept in till 7:30.  I felt pretty good and i did think about skipping my walk again, but the day was so pretty.  In the 50's, sunny with a breeze.  A typical Fall day. I thought the fresh air would do me good and planned to just walk 3 miles and left a little after 8:00.  I walked down the a few roads.
 A path or two.
And along the path down by the water.
It was nice to be outside and i was glad i decided to go for a walk.  I didn't see many others out and i didn't see any wildlife out either.
I walked a little farther than my intended three miles and ended up walking 4.5 miles.  I was a bit tired when i got home and probably should have only walked the three miles but still I'm glad i went.

I'm just having another day at home taking it easy.  I did a few things that i had to do around the house, then made some bread, ironed three shirts and that was it.
The rest of the day is for reading and knitting.

Thanks for all the get well wishes.
Hope today you're happy and healthy.

Good. Take it easy, read, knit, watch a show. Perhaps Ken will bring home supper! =)

Hehhhhh... Well, I still think you were *naughty.* Even if you didn't pull the whole 6 miles.

See, I am sooooooooo in FEAR of a chest cold. I spent 3 months at the beginning of this year, trying to rid myself of acute Bronchitis. And it scared the *pitoooteeees* out of me.

Please... Be... Wise...

Glad you're feeling well enough again to walk. I keep Jason's Tea Tree Mouthwash on hand for when I get a scratchy throat - it works wonders. Only got to 40 here today, but the sun felt warm on my walk.

Lovely photos. Hope you are feeling better soon. Last time I had a sore throat I tried gargling with my usual mothwash, which seemed to help. If not, hot water, honey and lemon with maybe a dash of whiskey (for antiseptic purposes).
