Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Fabulous!

Fabulous!! Fabulous!! Fabulous!! was the performance of Les Miserables last night at the Kennedy Center!!  Wow it was just great.  Not only were all the singers amazingly talented with powerful singing voices, the scenery and how they changed it for the different Acts was amazing.  It was so worth the wait and i'm so very glad i finally got to see it.
I cried a few times and when it was over i cried too.  I do that when i really like something a lot.  I cry when i finish reading a very good book too.
Photos of course were not allowed but i have all the pictures i need right inside my head!

We got home about 11:30 last night and stayed up an hour or so before going to bed.  Just too much going on inside my head to sleep right away.
So we ended up getting up an hour or so later in the morning as well.
I left on my walk just before 8:00 when Ken left for work.  He will just work a little bit later to make up for going in late.

A nice sunny walk for me this morning and the temperature was near 50.  I stayed walking on paths today.  One of the paths i usually walk on is a main path that goes through a neighborhood and it has off shoots that go up to different streets which all interconnect.  Today i walked the main one and walked up and back most all of the off shoot paths.  All the paths looked inviting and the following pictures are just some of the ones i took this morning.

At one of the playgrounds i stopped for a ride on the swings.  It was fun swinging and it made me feel like a kid.
Two women walking dogs came by while i was swinging and one of them said to me, "What are you, 10 years old?"  I wasn't sure what she meant by that but my answer was, "Yup, plus a few more."  The other woman smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

My son David called while i was walking and so was he so we had a nice little chat while walking together. : )
A good coin day too.  I found a quarter and a nickel.
I walked 7 miles.
Sunrise 7:28
Sunset 6:14

When i got back home the sun went away and the clouds came rolling in and we even got a bit of rain.

I'm not really having a very productive day but it is an enjoyable doing nothing day!
Hope your day is a good one - whatever you decide to do.
A smile from me to you.

Oh I wish that I had some pictures in my head of Les Miserables! It sounds fantastic. And if it made Happyone weep, well it must've been some kind of amazing.

Well that lady at the swings sounds a titch snippy. Glad that her companion caught the joy.

Some days are meant to be simply enjoyed without a long list of tasks to be accomplished. Keep on enjoying yours!

Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed your evening. I remember how wonderful it was when I took my foreign exchange student to see "Cats".....just something really emotional about seeing a live performance.

Super! You had a marvelous time. Perfect!

Your area is still very Autumny-pretty.

Hooray for you, taking a swing on the swing! Hope that commenter was trying to be nice. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. But her choice of words, was rather sad. Oh well, we all spout off something, and regret it, soon after. :-)

Too bad she didn't just give the thumbs-up sign, like her companion.

Gentle hugs...

I'm glad you enjoyed the play. I think there is something special about theater -- an attachment that is not as easy to make with movies. You had some gorgeous paths to walk.
