Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

Blogger gave me the option again to change the comments to the pop up window so i did.  Some of you have told me that you have been having a lot of trouble leaving comments and that if i switched to the pop up window, it would make it easier.  So i expect to get more comments now.  : )

This morning it was ten degrees warmer than yesterday when i walked and cloudy.  It rained during the night and left the morning a bit humid also.  But it wasn't bad.  I got a mosquito bite through my tights.  It is the first one I have had this summer!!
As i said it was a cloudy morning but one time i looked up and saw the sun barely show itself through the clouds. It only lasted a few seconds and i barely got a picture.  If you look close you may even see it almost in the middle of the picture.
I walked around the lake. There was no breeze at all and the water was like glass.
All the geese are gone again.  Not a one did i see.  There were people about though.  Walkers, runners, bike riders, fishermen and a few boats out on the water.

A few days ago i took a picture of the red footbridge i walk across and one from standing on the bridge looking out over the water.  Today i took one standing on the bridge again but looking out the other way.
Then when i got to other side of the lake i took a picture of the bridge again.  I zoomed in on it.
Great to be out early and walking.
I walked 6.4 miles.

I did get my pizza last night but i was starving by the time i got it.  Ken didn't get home till 8:00.  Then we went to one of our favorite pizza places, Pazani's.  I felt like i could have eaten the whole pie myself but just had my usual two slices.

It's been cloudy all day and i stayed home doing this and that around the house.  Some work and some fun things.

I probably won't be blogging tomorrow because we are taking the light rail into Baltimore in the morning to watch the Baltimore Grand Prix!!  I'm pretty excited because it should be a fun time.  We have pretty good seats in one of the grandstands and in a place where we get to see the cars race by in two places.  I'm bringing my camera of course and hopefully i can get some good pictures.  Our tickets also give us admittance in to the pit area.

A happy Friday to you.

I look forward to seeing your pictures from the race. I would like to know how you got all the way into September before you got your first mosquito bite.
Have a great weekend.

That red bridge is so pretty and your pictures look so peaceful.
I'll be interested to know how you like the Grand Prix. We live in the heart of Nascar country and have never been to a race.
Have a great weekend.

Wow!! Now I can comment.

As usual, I continue to enjoy the morning walks and pictures. Thanks for sharing.

The light rail to Baltimore sounds like a fun little trip. I always enjoyed my weekend "jaunts" via the rail. Will be looking forward to pics of the Grand Prix.

I was having problem posting comments, the problems wasn't yours I don't believe. I was having problems elsewhere too. I was advised the problems would be resolved if I switched by browser to Google Chrome from Internet Explorer. I did and it's resolved, although my Favorites is different and other things as well. Another change to adjust to. I saw the Baltimore Grand Prix advertised on TV, enjoy it, looks like fun! You have such great day trips, thanks for bringing us along. Your pictures of the bridge near and far are a great idea, gives perspective. I'm dreading the humidity this weekend and rain all next week, it that right? Enjoy your weekend.
