Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

More great weather

Another morning like yesterday with cool temperatures in the 50's and sunshine.  I made my way over to the lake and had a delightful walk around the lake.  There was a mist over the water when I first got there but was gone soon after.  A couple pictures of the mist.

The usual number of people were out and about around the lake enjoying a beautiful morning.  Some more geese arrived but they stayed up the hill on the grass.  In a way it's kind of nice not to have so many geese about so you don't have to watch where you step!!
I took the upper path like i usually do but stayed up on the road instead of walking back down to the path by the water.  Just breaking up the routine a bit.
My foot is still a bit black and blue and so are two of my toes. I must have really come down hard on that plug!!  Nothing hurts at all though so I'm not complaining.
It was another great walk.
I walked 6.3 miles.

I was planning on going out with my friend MaryJo today but she couldn't make it, so we will meet up next week instead.
I ended up staying home and cleaning windows.  I used the new Perfect Glass cleaner and i actually liked cleaning the windows!!  I know that sounds crazy but this makes window cleaning so much faster and the results are fantastic.  Just spray and wipe and it really doesn't leave any streaks at all.  I know i sound like a commercial but it is really that good. I use a paper towel after i spray the stuff on the window and then i dry it with the cloth i use to dry my car.
I cleaned six windows and will do some more another day.

I  got some of the high places dusted that don't get dusted all that often.  Like on top of the kitchen cabinets and the ceiling fans.

I came across this website for improving your brain and have been having some fun with it.  I'm just using the free part of it now.  They will probably get me hooked and i'll end up joining.  Anyway check it out HERE if you feel like improving your brain. : )

I'm done with work for the day and now it's time for a little reading and knitting.  I'm really looking forward to getting that white bedspread done.  I think i'll be able to get in done in a few days but in reality it will probably take me a couple of weeks.

That's it for now.
Till next time........
A smile from me to you.

It was a lovely day, wasn't it? I even went for my first solo walk -- more like a stroll. I'm moving, just very slowly.

We've been blessed with this weather. I don't want it to change, stay just like this forever! You must have really stepped on that plug hard to do that kind of damage. You may want to soak your foot, it might help. I'm holdling out for fall to clean the windows. Besides, with Hurricane Irene as a possible visitor, she may do it for me (lol)! I'll check out the brain website, thanks for sharing!

Love the mist on the water, Karen. You have such a great place to walk.

Glad you enjoyed cleaning your windows... Why don't you bring that stuff down here now and clean mine?????? ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm sure stepping on that plug hurt. I'm glad it didn't stop you from walking.

Your pictures are always incredible Karen. You're really talented and I always enjoy seeing things through your eyes.

Improving my brain? That will take some work! :D

Oh, I bought some of that stuff and have used it on one window. I need to do them all, but will probably wait until Irene's done her thing whatever that may be. Yes, I really did like it.

Watch out for that geese grease...it does get slippery!

Well that was kinda fun. They're sneaky, though. I was so busy looking at the pretty scenery that I missed a couple of birds. And that spatial thing gets real tricky at 9.

Loved the photo especially the second one, I am always amazed at the scenery you get to enjoy. I too like to wash windows, and wash mine quite often. I will visit this site, goodness knows I need it.
Glad to be able to visit with you.
Enjoy your day
