Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A short walk and a short post

I had a short walk this morning of only 4 miles.  Just walked down one road, along a path, around a townhouse complex and back home.  It was a drizzly morning and I didn't have an umbrella and when I got wet I came back home.  Hence the short walk.  Saw one other person out walking.

I had a hair appointment with Cheryl this morning and got those gray roots covered up again and also had a little trim.  This is a good hair day for me. : )  Thanks Cheryl!

A pretty dreary drizzly time of it all day.
I read some of my book this afternoon.
We went out for supper at a place we've never been to before.  We didn't realize it had Mexican food and since we weren't in the mood for Mexican tonight we left.  Besides it was really noisy and couldn't even have a conversation and we ended up going to Red Robin.
That's about it for today.
Till next time.........

Hope you had a happy day.

Yes, it's about time for me to cover up the roots also! I actually walked last week--only a mile, but it's been almost a year since I've exercised at all. It was hot outside, but I did ok. Hope to keep at it--I ordered an exercise hula hoop -a $40. hoop--so I had better keep at it!!

It's always great to spend time with you!

I love your quote of the day. So true.

I have been longing to do something with my hair also. I have a tradition of giving it a perk up in the days nearing my birthday. I am catching up on reading as well. I just finished The Christmas List and it is a good simple book. Tomorrow or maybe even tonight, I will begin with A Thousand Acres.

Soggy week ahead here. Is that going to be true for the entire Eastern seaboard? Hope not! I am not going to complain because so many have so much more to complain about.

This morning you'll be prepared for the weather!

Your weather sounds like ours yesterday. This morning, however, the sun is shining. Hooray.
I'll be getting my roots touched up this week. Always a good feeling to get that done. Now, if I could just find a way to make it last longer :).
Great quote and so true.
Enjoy your Sunday.

You are a better girl than I. I decided no walking in the rain. I went to Redbox and rented movies instead. Nothing like a rainy day with a movie. I too loved the quote!
