Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A quick post for Saturday

The temperature was 32 degrees as I stepped out the door on this early cloudy Saturday morning. I walked along sidewalks, roads, and paths on the route that takes me past the school.  I made a couple of changes to this route today to make it a tad longer.  I have quite a few routes that I've mapped out for myself.  It keeps my walk interesting.
I saw ten deer! Six in a group, three in another group and then one by himself.  Didn't see many people out until I got to the school.  Some event is happening there today and lots of people there getting things ready.  Looks like a fair of some kind.  Didn't stop to ask.
The sun was a big red ball in the sky shining through some thin clouds, but then the clouds thickened up and it was just a gray morning.
I walked 6.4 miles.

Just a quick early post today.  I have a hair appointment at 10:30.  Then meeting Ken for lunch and then we are off to Pennsylvania to Stoner's Auction this afternoon.  There's a couple of interesting things that I would like to bid on.

Enjoy your Saturday.
A smile from me to you.

it only saps today of its joy.

Thank you for that quote on not worrying - I had read it many years ago, but had forgotten about it. It is just as true now as it was then.

Your pictures are just lovely. A SIX MILE walk???? Heavens, I am just trying to get my daily program up to 10,000 steps. You have my admiration. ...Marsha
