Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No walk or knitting group

So much for a nice morning walk without any ice to worry about.  We got some ice and snow overnight so I wasn't able to get my walk in.  I did get some exercise in though.  I did my DVD and then I went outside and for about 2 hours shoveled snow.  The driveway, the front steps and walk, and then the deck.  The front walk is shoveled for us but I usually just do it anyway.  I really don't mind snow shoveling if there is not a whole lot to do.  I just think of it as good exercise.  The temperature was only 19 in the am but by the afternoon the temperature was in the mid 30's so we had some melting of the mess. By late afternoon the roads in front of my house were already dry in places.
Another disappointment about the weather was that my morning knitting group was canceled.  It is always something I really look forward to.

I started moving furniture around a bit in the living room.  There really isn't all that much I can do differently but I need a different look every so often.  I'm not done yet so I'll have to finish tomorrow - started this project too late in the day.

I'm off now to watch a little television and have some more of that Chocolate Pretzel ice cream.

Hope you had a day of sunshine.

If I find any of that chocolate pretzel ice cream... I did hear someone say that the m&m pretzels are good...was that you?

A minor setback this snow and ice. It can NOT continue. I shouldn't have chortled when you got this weather system as we're going to get a mess Friday and then again Monday, unless those weather frogs are wrong.

We had snow here this morning too and temps are supposed to be dropping too. A big shock from our trip last week where we had 80 degree temps. Good to be home again!

We've not had (in Virginia) the winter you've had, much less that of New York and New England this year, but I am still so ready for spring, aren't you, Karen? Art

-sigh- Sorry about this late Winter weather. So unpredictable.

But it's probably better that the knitting group was canceled, since the driving was so bad. Some one might have tried to make it, and had a bad outcome.

But it's still disappointing, I understand.

Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby is good, too.

By the time I got up and out at 10:00 to go to PT, the roads were clear. Funny how even though it was so cold, the ice and snow melted quickly. I guess that's why they pre-treat the roads...

Hope your weather clears up soon so you can carry on with your walking and knitting group. In the meantime, it sounds like you are burning up all the ice cream calories.
