Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A nice walk for me this morning around the lake.  I only saw 4 other people.  Even though it has been getting warmer during the day and most all of the snow is gone, the mornings are still cold so I'm still walking around ice.  The next few days it's supposed to get even warmer so soon it should all be gone.  It was 26 degrees when I started out and 32 when I got back home.
I think I saw a swan on the lake.  It was too far away for me to be sure but it looked way too big to be a white duck.  I have never seen a swan on the lake before and hope he stays around.  The geese were there as usual making lots noise and large numbers of them took off flying.
I walked 6.4 miles.
Sunrise 6:58
Sunset 5:45

I have a load of laundry in the washing machine now and I'll be able to hang it outside to dry today.  Sunny and a slight breeze is perfect for that.
I'm meeting Ken for lunch later today. :-)
Hope all is well in your part of the world.
A very good day to you.
Happyone :-)

The 16th. The dance is getting closer and closer. :-)

Please, can you have Ken take a pic of you, all "dolled-up" to go? And you can take a pic of him too.

A swan...how nice! Hope that you can get a photo of him. And I rather like Aunt Amelia's idea, too. Except it would be more fun to get someone to take a photo of the two of you together.

What a gorgeous morning you had for your walk! And a swan - my favorite. I hope you can get a pic of it.

How nice if that was a swan on your lake. I always think they look so graceful.
Have fun at lunch today.

Hope the swan stays too, I enjoy walking out side just for the reason of seeing, and hearing such beautiful creatures as this.
Isn't it wonderful to be able to sun dry clothes? A sure sign that spring is soon coming.
As always enjoy reading of your day.
