Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

New Shoes

It's been very windy all day long and now it is down to 26 and supposed to go down in the teens tonight.
After getting back from walking I had breakfast, got a few quick things done around the house and then left to go to Savage Mill to join the ladies of my knitting group.  Two different people gave me books to read - so nice of them. :-)  When I left knitting I had to stop  at the library because the latest James Patterson book, Crossfire, was there waiting for me to pick up.  I picked up one more book too so I ended up with four more books to read.  I handed one in, but still have a book left at home from last time which is due next Monday.  I just can't make any promises to myself about not getting more books to read until I finish what I have.  It is just impossible.

From the library I stopped at a couple of places to look for a pair of black shoes for the Gala which is in a couple of weeks.  I found a pair I liked at DSW.  Here they are.  What do you think?
I didn't get home till 2:30 so I never did get a chance to start cleaning out the loft closet.  But there is always tomorrow.

Later tonight we will watch another episode of Pillars of the Earth and I'll knit.  I haven't decided to have cookies or ice cream for my snack later, but right now I'm leaning towards ice cream.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone :-)

Replace the store with library and loaf of bread for one book and that's me. :-)

Love the shoes, especially the heel on them and the strap is so cute. Looks like the perfect shoe to go with your dress.

Very nice shoes. I haven't been able to wear heel for about 15 years. It wouldn't be a very pretty sight if I did. :-)

Who cares about your shoes and why would you spoil the surprise by showing everyone a picture of them ahead of time?

Cool shoes! I just noticed your quote by Ellen DeGeneres on the side bar...remember where I was when I first heard this, because it just was so "Ellen" and caught me off guard I thought it was hysterical! Just one of those things where the time and circumstance all made something so funny. Happy memory for me!

Shoes are nice but need to see you in the whole outfit after the event! It's been very windy here too but thankfully all fences stayed up, roll on spring.

I like to see shoes, with little ankle wraps. But the main point is, how do you feel about them? Do you like how they look with the new dress? Are they sort-of comfortable, enough to dance in anyway? Etc. Etc.

You'll be wearing them. I want you to feel SUPER, in them.
