Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A snowy walk

I walked later than usual this morning because I waited until it was light out.  We got one or two inches of snow last night which made for a beautiful, quiet, white, walk this morning. The temperature was 25 degrees when I left and it was just getting light out.  I walked around the lake.  Sidewalks were not shoveled nor was the path to the lake, but once I got to the lake the path was cleared.  I only saw two other people by the lake walking dogs.  I didn't spot any wildlife though I did see footprints of deer, rabbits and I think a fox. I took many pictures along the way because I thought everything looked so pretty. Here is a sampling of them.  I hope you enjoy walking along with me.

Here I followed my own footsteps back home.
I walked 6.2 miles
Now I'm going to have some breakfast because I'm starving!
I'll probably be back with another post later in the day.
Make this day a good one. :-)
Happyone :-)

Yes, I did enjoy my walk with you and that's about all the walking I'll be doing this day. (Sorry about the delete.)

How beautiful! You could use any of those photos as Christmas cards or note cards!

Beautiful pictures. This was a very nice snow. Wonderful enough to be visually beautiful and not to deep or slippery to keep you inside.

Fresh snow makes for beautiful scenes, but I'm glad you waited for daylight to take your walk. Ice can be a real problem under new snow.
