Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Christmas Decorations

Another walk around the lake this morning.  I walked down a short path to the lake and took the picture.  A cold 24 degrees and breezy, but nothing like yesterday.  The only place it was really windy was at the wide part of the lake by the dam where it is wide open.  A fair amount of people out, though most of them were runners.  Only saw a few of the regulars.  Almost didn't see the deer in the woods.  They blend in so well.  I'm sure there were a lot that I just didn't see.
I walked 6.2 miles.

Ken was out and about this morning.  I did just a few basic house chores and then sat down to do some more knitting on my little Santa.  So far it's coming along nicely.

We met up again for lunch and then we went out again to get a few errands done. We are home now and are going to go out later when it's dark to look at Christmas lights.

Heard a funny story on the news last night.
A family woke up to find Christmas lights on their house and decorations scattered throughout their yard.  In the night someone had stolen the decorations from other neighbors and had put them up in their yard.  I guess it was a prank of some sort.  During the day neighbors stopped by to pick up their decorations and put them back where they belong!!

All set for Christmas tomorrow.
 Presents under the tree.
  Stockings hung up.
A Happy and Merry Christmas to you!
A happy day to you.
Happyone :-)

when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring,-
not even a mouse:
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there......

Merry Christmas to both of you. Are the stockings by the fireplace the ones you were making?
