Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking in the rain

Yes, I did walk today. :-)  I went around the lake.  It was raining so out came the rain pants and the umbrella.  There was a light on and off rain the whole time I was walking and the umbrella went up and down quite a lot. Not a whole lot of people out but more than I thought there would be.  They were mostly runners.
I saw a few deer and a couple of woodpeckers.  The ducks and geese were out on the lake.  The rain doesn't bother them.
I walked 6.5 miles around the lake.

Our day was a bit busier/louder but a great day nonetheless.
