Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A heron video :-)

I have many favorite Bible verses.  Here are a couple of them.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him,
shall not perish
but have ever lasting life.

That assures me that I'm going to heaven.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me.

And that lets me know that I get through anything down here until then.

Giving Thanks Day Number 28
As I was walking around the lake this morning I was thinking what I would post for the thankful challenge today.  I looked up and saw the heron standing down by the water.  I took a video while slowly walking down to the water.  I got real close and got this cool video of him.  There it was my thankful post for today.  :-)

So now you already know that I walked around the lake this morning.  Even though I don't usually walk the lake on the weekend, I figured since it was cold out (30 degrees) there wouldn't be too many people out yet.  I was right.  I had a great early morning walk and walked 6.2 miles.

Yesterday when Ken got home he helped with getting the shaker boxes down so this afternoon I can get started on some decorating.
He left just a little while ago for another day with the trains (sales were pretty good yesterday), and I'll be leaving in just a little while to go to church.

Have a blessed Sunday.
A smile from me to you.
Happyone :-)

What a great video! That heron was too cold to move I guess. Hope that Ken has an even better day today with sales. Have fun decorating!

Wow, great video. I know they are big birds, but that really became evident when he/she flew away and I saw the giant wing span. Awesome!
I will think of you as I am putting out Christmas decorations today. Tis the season :).

Your heron video was my thankful thing for today, too! What a great shot of it taking off and flying along the shoreline.

Loved the video especially the way the heron's reflection was so clear.
