Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happy to be home :-)

 Sunrise 7:31
Sunset 6:11
Walked around the lake this morning.  Weather back to a more normal temperature and nice for walking, not hot or cold and it was nice to see the sun again.  At first there was a mist hanging low over the water but that soon burned off.  Saw a few of my walking friends and had a few words with each of them.  The wildlife was scarce today and only saw a few rabbits and of course the geese.  In the picture those small white things on the lake that you can barely see are geese.  I've been taking a lot of pictures of the colorful Fall trees because it is just so pretty.  There were four others taking pictures along here too.  Before long all the color will be gone so I'm enjoying each day of the beauty.
This morning I walked 6.5 miles.

I've been at home today just doing things around the house that need doing.  Not much to post about but I am enjoying my day doing this and that.  Though I enjoy getting out and about I really am a home body and enjoy being home.
A happy day to you!

Hi! I too am having a day at home, and it is wonderful.
I finally went for my walk--it's been days since my last one-- and feel proud of myself for the effort.
Trees here have lost almost all their leaves, many bare limbs, unlike your picture. Every area, even every community, has its own little micro-climate, I guess.
You are blessed to have such a lovely area to walk in.

You're definitely in the pink over here! Look out, there are more geese on the way. John just told me that the say a huge V heading south with over 80 geese in formation. He heard them honking long before he could see them and long after they'd gone. I wish that he had called me!

A puttery day at home is often a sweet pleasure.

I love spending the day around home, too. Today, though, I boxed for an hour and also did my cardio workout and weights! I probably will feel it later -- better plan on taking a really hot shower!

Love your photo today.
I enjoy being at home too, especially if I've been on the go for a few days.

What? I have no idea how you even understood what I commented. Ha! Must've had my fingers flying right along with the geese. About the pink...it looks lovely to me.

I know exactly what you mean, a day at home puttering around is one of my favorites too.

Although I am retired, I am always surprised at how few days I have where I can just hang around the house. I also like being at home but being the only driver in a house of 3 people, I don't get too many days like that.

In fact, the last day I can remember that wasn't filled with trips here and there, company, or to dos for others ... was probably a snow storm day in February. That was really grand. Couldn't go anywhere, didn't want to go anywhere.

That can't be right! But I guess it is.
