Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No title today!

Sunrise 6:12
Sunset 8:14
This morning it was still humid but there was a breeze which made it feel better. As the day wears on it is becoming less humid. I had a 6.6 mile walk around the lake today. Quite a few people out walking, running, biking and there were a few small boats with fishermen. I'm not sure what kinds of fish are in the lake but I do see people catching them.
I walked down to the water here by the geese and snapped a picture.

The heron was down by the water and I watched him take off in flight. A squirrel was gnawing some small branches off a tree, I guess making a nest with them somewhere. It was a busy early morning around the lake.

This morning after my usual routine, I read, and then did some cross stitch. I usually do that after lunch when my chores are done. But today I thought I would change that around. One thing bad about that is I didn't stop doing the fun stuff but continued right after lunch too. :-) I eventually did get a few things done. I think I'd better stick to waiting until afternoon for the fun stuff!!

I got a catalog in the mail today for IKEA. I right away though of you Helen. :-) I know how much you like that store. I also like it and love to just walk around and find all sorts of things that I NEED. It's a fun store!

Now that I know how to put pictures where I want them, I actually like the New Editor
better!

Don't know what I'm doing with the rest of the day yet. I should cook something for supper at home but just don't know what I'm in the mood for. I'll wait until Ken comes home from work, maybe he will have a good idea! :-)

I hope your Friday has been a good one so far and a great start to a fantastic weekend.
Happyone :-)

Just about time for our IKEA catalogue to pop through out letterbox. I have to admit that on the day we got engaged (in Stockholm), my husband and I visited IKEA. So romantic!

We're getting a new Ikea in Denver. I like the New Editor, too. Have a good weekend.

The stars must not be lined up right!
I went to the website you gave the link for (thanks)..."This item is not available"...So I typed in my zip code, and "no stores were found in your area". I even put in the zip code for a large city downriver, and "no stores found...".
Ah, well. When I'm meant to find a pedometer, one will appear, I have no fear.

Ikea is here also, I was there a few weeks ago and they have a lot of nice things.

I like IKEA, too and I agree with you, it is a 'fun' store.
We still have to talk about 'new editor' -- I'm still looking!!
Funny -- about saving 'fun stuff' until the afternoon. :)
