Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A cool morning walk

When I stepped out the door this morning I thought maybe I should have worn long sleeves, it felt that cool, but it didn't take long for me to warm up.  A cloudy morning and it looked like it would rain any minute, but it didn't and I stayed dry.  A lot of people out walking around the lake and I saw quite a few people that I knew.
The last house I lived in I thought how lucky I was to have such nice places to walk and I had many walking friends that I would see along the way.  I didn't think I would find a better place but moving here I have the best walking places ever!  I have met many new walking friends.  What was nice about both places is that I don't have to get in the car, I can just walk out the door and go.
Well, back to this walk.  I saw two white egrets, one flying and one standing in the water close to the shore.  The geese were making quite a stir in the water, honking and splashing about and a cute little chipmunk ran across the path in front of me.
I walked 6.2 miles.

This morning I'm headed out to meet the ladies for a happy time of knitting and talking, but first I have to have breakfast and do a few other things.
Enjoy your Tuesday.
Happyone :-)

We are enjoying such delicious crisp air today! It's a joy beyond compare. At first, I thought that you were going to say that, but now I see that you're under the threat of rain.

Have great fun with your knitting group!

How nice to have cooler temperatures. We're getting ready to go on a little vacation and hope to find cooler weather because it is sooo hot here!
