Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Knitting group outside

I walked around the lake again this morning and what a difference from yesterday when I didn't see anyone. LOTS of people out there today and what a great day for walking. The weather was perfect. Interesting looking sky with lots of clouds breaking up. Tuesday is mowing day at the lake so all the mowers were working. It is a bit noisy in places so I think I'll avoid walking around the lake on Tuesdays from now on.

Today was the day when the knitting group moved out of Savage Mill and to outside in the courtyard of Kings Contrivance, which is a small outside mall. The weather cooperated and it was just beautiful. It was suggested that we bring our own chairs but the group wasn't as big as it usually is so they weren't needed. I was the only one who brought a chair anyway. Here's a picture of the group knitting. I'm not in it because I'm taking the picture. That is my blue chair there on the right. It was nice sitting by the fountain and listening to the water. There is a pizza place just off to the left of the fountain which is one of our pizza places we go to. Haven't been there for a while though because the owners aren't very friendly. They do have great pizza though, but there are so many other good places that are just as good. It was hard sitting there smelling pizza. If the pizza didn't temp you there is a Rita's across the way to temp you. I was very good and passed up both. :-)

After knitting I made a stop at Ann's House of Nuts which is always a fun place to go. I got cashews (some of which I ate and ended up being my lunch), chocolate mint chips and black shoe string licorice. The licorice is for Ken. I'll surprise him tomorrow and put some in with his lunch. :-)

From Ann's I went to the library just to drop off a couple of books, magazine and a dvd. It was closed so I couldn't get anything else out, which was a good thing. :-) I pulled up and parked the car wondering why there were so few cars in the parking lot. As I was getting out of the car, a guy came over to me and told me it was closed. I asked him why and he told me there was some kind of training going on. So I just returned my things in through the book drop. I just found out today that there was a book drop. The drop is so far away from the door that I've never seen it.

After being out for most of the day, now I don't feel like doing any work. I'm going to read some blogs and then read my book for a while. Later this evening we will probably go out to buy me a new pair of walking shoes.
By the way the ravioli last night was delicious. Ken got to take the leftovers to work for lunch today.

Hope your enjoying your Tuesday.
Happyone :-)

Sounds like a fun day to me. When I was running late in the afternoon yesterday, sweating like crazy, I was thinking how much more I enjoy walking usually than running. I am glad you had a fun walk.

That looks like a pretty mall and a nice place to do some outdoor knitting.
I was just outside and noticed how pretty the puffy clouds were in the blue, blue sky. I had to smile when I opened your blog and there was your picture of the clouds in the sky.

Looks like a beautiful place to sit and knit, or read, or just about anything :)
