Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A box arrives in the mail

A cloudy, windy, but warm morning this Saturday as I walked 6.6 miles. I walked along a couple of paths and made my way to the school and walked around the neighborhood over there. Not many walkers or runners out but a lot of activity. Two yard sales setting up, a house getting new shingles on the roof, a woman spreading mulch, workers putting in a flagstone walkway and front patio, and a few lawn mowers going already. It seemed more like the middle of the afternoon than early in the morning.
I saw these pretty flowers to enjoy along the way.Sunrise 6:01
Sunset 8:08

The sun did come out but it is VERY WINDY.
Ken went out this morning and will be home later this afternoon. I've been at home doing some reading and knitting. I also did a crossword puzzle and finished another Bible study lesson. We will probably have a nice dinner out somewhere this evening.

I looked out of the front window a little while ago and there sitting on the step was a package. Yes, a package for me. I opened it up and there was a pretty round box with a bow.Inside the box was three different kinds of cookies and a box of green tea.
It was my Mother's Day gift from Debbi! :-) How thoughtful and nice and how happy she made me. Thank you so much Debbi!! I love you!!
I ate one of each flavor and they are all delicious.

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday.
Happyone :-)
