Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Trains

An update on Ken's train layout. He put the mirror up. The curtains in the window won't be there when he starts the scenery. The curved upper parts are called splines and that is where the track will be.As you can see there is a lot of work to be done first before he can even begin to do scenery and track.

It's very involved isn't it! My son was interested in trains at one point and we thought that we'd go this route, but never did. I don't think we'd have been capable! :D

Does he cut all the wood pieces himself? It will be wonderful when he has it all up and running. I enjoy going in the train stores and seeing all the different layouts and trains.
We always have a train underneath the Christmas tree!

Diane, yes, he cuts all the pieces and does everything himself. Wait until you see the buildings and scenery he does. It is a work of art!! I will be posting all his work.
