Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A Happy Saturday

It was quite chilly outside this morning on my walk, but there was no wind and the sun was out in a nice bright blue sky. The first thing I saw when I walked out the door was a male and female Cardinal sitting in the little tree out side my door. They are the first ones I've seen by my house this year. I'm hoping they will be back and visit my bird feeder.
I walked on the paths in the neighborhoods and down a couple of roads too. It is a route I've walked many times. I saw a couple of deer in the woods and a rabbit munching grass on the edge of a path. Just a couple of people out. Didn't see anyone I knew. Just a couple of pictures I took walking.Look at that long shadow of me taking the picture. How tall and thin I look! And what long legs!Quite a few of you commented the other day about the man that asked me for a ride. I'm sure he was just being friendly and didn't mean anything. Don't worry I can take care of myself. I am aware and always know what's going on around me.

I made us some delicious pancakes for breakfast. The rest of the morning Ken went downstairs and worked on his railroad layout. I had a nice morning doing a few things around the house, started another book and knitted for a bit.
Lunch time we left the house and went to Subway. It was customer appreciation day and if you bought one sub you got the second one free.

From there we drove the back roads to Emittsburg to an antiques mall that we go to once in a while. It was a beautiful day and going the back way made for a nice relaxing drive.
I found a couple of things to buy. This nice sturdy fly swatter I thought is just the thing for those wasps out on the deck that bother me.I came across this childrens aluminum cooking and baking set. All the pieces were only $20 which I thought was a very good price. Childrens toys usually go for a lot. All the pieces are like brand new. My idea is to sell them on eBay. I've been meaning to try to sell things on eBay for a while now and this will be a good time for me to get started. It should be something fun to do and maybe even make a little money. :-)

Last night we watched two episodes of Damages and this evening we watched two more. We are liking it and I'll put the rest of the season in my Netflix Queue.

I enjoyed my snack of ice cream yesterday and had the same thing again tonight.

A great Saturday which went by much too fast!
Hope yours was a great one too.
Happyone :-)

HI dear Karen,

Whoa! That picture of the shadow has come out good. Really awesome...

And how come I never get all these good offers? Free Subway sandwich. I am so... going gaga.

Well and looking at the aluminium set, i remember my childhood toys. What fun we had playing with them. I think i still have them somewhere. I don't know where!

Have a great Sunday!

I like all the different colors of green n your photos. How exciting to see the Cardinal pair - I hope you can snap a photo of them at your feeder!

Hi, I`m glad you had a nice Saturday. I woke up to a sunny day and are going for a walk with my DD today, we`ll bring our lunch to eat outside. Spring is beautiful.
Good luck with the eBay.

I didn't realize how tall you were until I saw that second picture. You certainly had a gorgeous morning for your walk.

LOVE the shadow shot! It was a LOVELY Saturday (and Sunday) here too.
Let me know how ebay works out for you. I've never done anything like that before ~ but one of my son's friends does - and makes some $$ from it.

That shadow picture is funny. It looks like you are on stilts. You picked the right day to go to Subway.
The child's cookware set you found is adorable. I think you could do well selling it on e-bay. I bought a measuring cup like the one in your picture at an antique shop. I think I paid $8 for it.
