Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

The sidewalks I walk along were shoveled and ready for me to walk on once again with only a few places that were a bit icy. I made my way to the lake and walked around it and ended up walking 6.8 miles. Its so nice that they clear off the paths for us so we can enjoy the lake in snow too. Things pretty quiet around the lake, not many people out and I didn't even see any deer!
The frozen lake.Just enough water to keep the geese and ducks happy.

I took a ride to the library to pick up those books that I had put on reserve and were waiting for me. I also picked up 3 other books. I just couldn't help myself! :-) I probably won't be driving my car for the next few days and maybe longer. More snow is predicted for us. This time we are supposed to get 1 - 2 feet starting tomorrow. My Vette just isn't a car made for snow!! Thank goodness we have the FJ! I heard that so far we have had 37 inches of snow this year! Some years we don't even have to get out the snow shovel!

Well, I spent an hour with the Wii Fit Plus. I played around with the training, balancing, running, skiing just to name a few. Its really fun. What a fun way to do exercise!!

The only work I did today was ironing Ken's work shirts.

Ken had to work late but when he got home we went out to our favorite pizza place. We figured with all the snow coming tomorrow we won't be able to leave the house. It sounds like a good excuse anyway! :-)
Then it was a stop at Lowe's to get the rest of the slate for the fireplace wall. Lindy asked if we were going to use the slate somewhere else too because it sounded like a lot of boxes. No, no where else. The boxes are small, only 8 pieces and cover 1 square foot.

Yesterday while at Lowe's I also bought new curtains for the living room windows. I thought I was buying 4 panels, 2 in each package, but there was only one in each. No wonder why it seemed so inexpensive! So when we were at Lowe's I picked up another two panels.
Ken dropped me off home and he went out again. In just a bit I'm going to have a couple of raspberry chocolate chip cookies I made last week and then start one of those books I got from the library until Ken gets home.

I hope you had a bit of fun on this Thursday.

Share your smile,

Pretty sunlight on the trees in your second photo.

I share your frustration about the curtain panels. I've done that before, too, thinking there were two in the package. I think it's a sign of the times. Luckily, you were able to find two more to match! Glad you found the rest of the slate you needed, too. Soon your room will be finished. =)

It sounds as if you will be able to get your exercise with the Wii if you really do get all of that snow this weekend. It looks as if we're going to get by with only rain.

Hope this finds you in the middle of enjoying a relaxing, cozy day. At least you have the Wii to keep you busy if all else fails, but sounds as if you'll be busy enough putting up the curtains.

Hope you both stay warm and safe thru this next storm!

I hope the snow isn't too bad for you. It sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy at home if your aren't able to get out.
