Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

White Chocolate Chip Cookies

I walked my connect the path route this morning around the neighborhoods. I didn't see anyone at all along the paths. It was just me and the wildlife. I saw deer, the fox again, a few rabbits, and quite a few crows. The temperature was 30 degrees!! It felt almost balmy out. I haven't walked this particular route in quite a while and it was nice to have the paths all to myself. It was a great walk!! :-)

I knitted another preemie hat and a pair of booties today. I also got a couple more skeins of yarn to make more. I still have some of the other yarns left, but I just wanted different colors to work with.

Baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies but used white chocolate chips instead of the usual chocolate chips. I like both kinds a lot and don't prefer one over the other but Ken likes the ones with the chocolate chips best.
The cookie at the bottom on the right hand side of the picture is the only one with chocolate chips in it. I made that one for Ken. Oh, he still gets to eat the others too!
We planned to go out for pizza tonight and get some of the thick kind (Sicilian) on Tuesday and I've looked forward to it all week. It was well worth the wait. I guess you all must know by now that pizza is my favorite all time food. I could eat it every day. Ken had a part time job once quite a few years ago delivering pizza for Pizza Movers. He got to bring the mistakes home and back then we ate a lot of pizza and we never did get tired of it!! :-)

Friday came around fast this week. Hope your week was a good one and your weekend is even better.
Happyone :-)

You really could eat pizza every single day? I like it a lot, but that would be six days too many for me.

Nice walking weather...30ยบ and the path doesn't look so icy anymore.

Hmmm, your cookies look wonderful.

I never tire of your skyline photos. They are always beautiful. Pizza is something I love, but rarely get to eat. I need to buy some frozen kind at the grocery store next week!

What a beautiful morning sky!

I love pizza too - Hawaiian with Canadian bacon, pineapple, peppers, mushrooms & onion. Yum!

Your choc chip cookies look exactly like the ones that we can buy in some shops (Marks and Spencer), but which British recipe books don't seem to have caught up with yet. I'd love to have your recipe if you're willing to share your secrets!

Thanks so much for your kind wishes. My Dad is improving, but with quite a way to go yet.

A good morning walk, pizza and chocolate chip cookies sounds like a winning combination.
Enjoy your weekend.

I'm like Ken -- I'll eat either kind. But I think white chocolate chip cookies are my favorite. I like pizza, too. You're making me hungry!!

We had California White pizza from Pizza Bolis tonight. I think I could eat pizza every single night, at least for a while. I could go for one of your chippers right about now!
