Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A day of painting and....

Painting
A busy day yesterday. While I walked Ken taped off the rest of the living room so we could finish painting. I took this picture of him through the window from outside on the sidewalk. You can barely see him, but that's him. After a breakfast of pancakes we started right in on the painting and got the rest of the living room finished. After the paint dried we got to peel off all the tape which is fun to do! I am so pleased that we are done and love the colors. We moved the book cases back but didn't put everything back together yet. Since Ken has to go in to work today, this afternoon I'll put all the books back in the bookcases and get everything else back in place. I'll post the final pictures later today or tomorrow.

38 Years
Yesterday was our anniversary. Ken gave me the most beautiful card! To celebrate we went out for dinner to a place in Westminster called Johanssons Dining House. If you click on the link and see the picture you can see where we sat. Our table for two was down at the end right next to the fireplace. We couldn't have had a better table. We had a wonderful time!!
We asked Samantha our server to take this picture of us.Here's a closer picture of the fireplace.

Surprise
Here's something that will surprise you. I didn't walk this morning! We got more snow yesterday and there are just not enough shoveled sidewalks for me to walk on.
I will be walking to church though in just a little while. It's not very far though, only 2 blocks down the road.

Happy Sunday
Last Sunday in church we sang a hymn, Great is Thy Faithfulness. It was one I used to sing all the time in my church growing up. I love these old time hymns. This one is based on the following Bible verses

Lamentations 3:22-23
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness

Don't forget to thank God for your blessings today and have a blessed Sunday.
Happyone :-)

Super nice picture of you two and Happy Anniversary!

You probably got plenty of exercise with all the painting and shuffling, etc. I'm not going to worry about your missing a day!
