Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another day in my life...

This morning I had a nice warm 6 mile walk around the lake. I wore too many layers today and was warm, but I'm not complaining. I just opened my coat and took off my hood. It was a great morning walk. Saw a lot more people out today. Plenty of deer and I even saw a Blue Bird!!
Someone lost a glove along the path.A morning look at the sky.
Yesterday I only got a 3 mile walk in. It stated raining after I left the house and I wasn't wearing my rain coat and pants. I headed back home before getting too wet.

The football game on Saturday didn't turn out as we had hoped. The Ravens lost. There goes their hope for the Super Bowl. Oh well, now I've got my eye on the Jets. Watched them win yesterday. Hope they win next weeks game too!!

Here's the two prints we bought the other day for the living room. Picture not that great but I love the prints.

I spent some time this morning on the computer. Then there were the morning chores to get done. Laundry, ironing, dishes, and just a general straightening up.

This afternoon I got some more knitting done. Finished another preemie hat. I like how these two turned out. The yarn makes its own pattern, which I think is really cool! My favorite is the blue hat. The next knitting will be mitts and booties in the same colors.
I read a little more of my book which is still the first book I'm reading this year!!

Now I'm off to cook supper. I'll be making a Lydia type of sauce for spaghetti.
Brown onions in olive oil.
Add and brown about 5 gloves of garlic.
Add, celery, yellow squash, and zucchini.
Cook a few minutes.
Add tomatoes.
Then mix it with cooked spaghetti.

Monday's come around pretty fast. Hope this one was a good one for you.
Happyone :-)

Coming home from my sister's on Saturday, we were keeping an eye on landmarks and how far we were...she's 29.8 miles from my driveway...anyway, every now and then I'd think six or seven miles...that's a LONG way and Karen walks that nearly every day.

Ken's making good progress!

I like your new prints and you got a great deal on them. The little hats are adorable and, of course, I too like the blue and white one best :)
I watched Lydia for the first time on Saturday while I was on the treadmill. I enjoyed watching her cook and also seeing areas of Italy. Hope you enjoyed your dinner.

This weekend's football was indeed a bust!
Can't believe you saw a bluebird!! So unusual for this time of year. Wonder if they know something we don't?

We've seen many more bluebirds this winter than we usually do. A bluebird seems to brighten even the gloomiest day.

Hi Karen

It's been quite awhile since I visited. The holidays and then computer trouble...which hasn't exactly cleared up as yet...sigh

We're cheering on the Jets too!

The premie caps are darling!

I love the hats, and the fact that the pattern comes from the yarn. Your dinner sounds delicious. I need to experiment more. Yum!

Happy day/night to you.
