Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

How Great Thou Art

Here's Elvis singing another favorite hymn of mine.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Karen :-) I Chronicles 16:23 & 24 Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations. His wonders among all peoples.

I have this version of the song on CD and really like it. We got snow Friday night and Saturday morning -- it looks as if it's about the same amount you got. I'm very impressed with your seven mile walk Friday morning.

My favorite hymn of all time! As a child I would sing in different churches as "special music". This was one of the songs I would sing.
At night - if I have trouble sleeping - this is the song I sing (in my head) to help me get to sleep. LOVE it!

Susan Boyle does a lovely rendition of it on her new CD.
I really enjoy reading about your daily walks. I'm saving up all my motivation to start the New Year off with a daily trek!! I was also very happy to read about your good news. Have a great week!

One of my favorite hymns. I remember it as one of Grandma's favorite hymns also.

We got about 6-7 inches of snow. It looked so pretty on the ground and on all the trees. I guess winter has arrived. The dogs loved running in the snow and eating it too.

Linda, I remember it as one of Grandma's favorite hymns too and I know she loved Elvis too. :-)
