Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happiness and a big THANK YOU!

I walked around the lake today. I took this picture through the trees because I knew by the time I got to the lake where I could have a clear view of the sky that this beautiful color would be gone. And I was right. The color was gone and then it was just cloudy. Lots of people out walking this morning. It was pretty chilly again but still great walking weather.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have watched the other two movies of the Bourne series and though they too were good, the first one was the best.
I didn't do much today. Spent a good part of the day on the computer. The past week or so I haven't been very good about doing my exercise DVD but today I got started again. Felt good to get back into the habit.
It ended up raining all day and it was just a dreary day. I'm really looking forward to going to my knitting group this evening which I'll get ready for as soon as I'm done here. I'm going to start on a scarf for a friend. The pattern I'm going to use is the ripple one like the afghans that I make. For the scarf I just cast on 39 stitches so it goes pretty quickly. It will be white and the two rows between the 12 rows of white will be all different colors. I'll post a picture when I have a bit of it done. Lillemor from my knitting group just called and asked if she could go with me. She doesn't like driving in the rain. Of course I said yes, she only lives 1 mile up the road.
I hope this Wednesday finds you happy. We shall never get to live this day again, so enjoy it.
Karen :-)
A fun quote for today.
People who drink light "beer" don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee a lot.
One last thing before I go. Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while know that back in August, my husband Ken, moved out of our house and went back to live at the old house. After working out some issues that we had, I am now happy to say that he has moved back home again and things are fine between us. We both have learned from this experience and I feel we are better people because of it.
Thank you so much all my many blog friends, family and friends for the many prayers, well wishes and kind thoughts, you have all sent our way. Thanks for the phone calls, emails and those times we went out to lunch. Believe me they have helped more than you know. :-)
A special thanks to my parents - who never judged but who was there with open arms and love for me when I needed them.
It is said good comes out of bad or unhappy situations and I found that to be so true this time.
I believe our marriage will be better and stronger now.
My mom and I had drifted apart and now we are close again and I realized just how much my step dad loves me.
I am a more independent person now and I'm a stronger woman than I thought I was.
Though I have always had Jesus in my life I now have a much closer relationship with Him and have found my way back to church.
Thanks again everyone!!!
Oh Karen I am so very VERY happy for you. As they say....God works in mysterious ways and that is true as you know. Divorce is traumatic and speaking as one who has been through it, I wouldn't wish it on anyone unless its physically abusive as mine was. May you both have a very long and wonderful marriage together. God Bless! Big hugs!! This is such good news!! Thank you for sharing it.
