Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

No title today

It was quite chilly again this morning and I guess it will be that way from now on until it gets down right cold. There was plenty of sunshine and it warmed up nicely by the time I got back home. I walked around the lake and learned the name of another walker who I've been saying good morning to for months. His name is Ben and he walks every morning too and also stops to take pictures. I'll have to ask him if he has a blog where he posts his pictures.
Today on my walk I took 12,345 steps.

I spent the day at home just hanging out around the house. I did a little bit of work but spent most of the day reading and knitting. The baby blanket that I started knitting with the cables in the pattern is a bit complicated so I have a lot of counting to do. I can't watch television or listen to an audio book because I get distracted and lose where I am. Believe me I've tried and had to start over a couple of times. It's not a hard pattern, just a lot of counting and it is fun to do. I will probably get better at it as I work on it more.

Kenny came over and we went out for pizza. A perfect meal for a Friday evening! :-) Then we came back to the house and watched an episode of Fringe and one of Lie to Me.

I had cookies for my snack and Kenny had chocolate ice cream. I ate up all the chocolate chip yesterday.

That's about it until next time....

I hope your Friday was a good one.
Karen :-)

Sounds like a nice day. Pizza always seems to go well with Friday nights in my book.
Hope your weekend is wonderful.

Sounds like a good day to me, Karen. I am always glad to see Friday arrive. We went to a Janis Ian concert, and she was fantastic. Great songwriter, singer, story teller, and guitar player. Art

12,345 steps...that's alot of steps on one walk!
I walked to work the other day, it took 40 mins there..all downhill and about an hour to get home all uphill! After a day at work I was so tired!

I'm very impressed with the number of steps you get in your morning walks. With a start like that pizza sounds like a perfect ending.

I've always wanted to live in an area where we could walk to restaurants and shopping. You must really enjoy that.
