Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Two walks and a quick and easy supper

It was a nice cool sunny morning for my walk today. I walked the Connect the Path route in the opposite direction I usually walk. I caught sight of a doe and her baby in a back yard as I started down one of the paths heading back down in the woods.

I spent a lot of time on the computer today but instead of playing, I got a lot of work done on Quicken. Bills paid, reconciled the accounts, and some other work got done as well.
Sheets washed, hung out to dry and bed made up again. I love going to bed at night on nice clean sheets. It's one of life's simple pleasures. :-)
I did spend some time reading and knitting too.

I made an easy and simple supper tonight.
I browned strips of chicken sprinkled with Paprika in a frying pan with Pam.
Added peas and
A package of 90 second Uncle Ben's Garden Vegetable rice(cooked).
Added some crushed red pepper and thyme.
Heated through and that was it.
It was pretty tasty and it certainly was easy to make.

After supper Ken and I went for a walk along part of path that I call the mini loop. It was a 2.6 mile walk.
I walked a total of 8.6 miles today so I guess I don't have to worry about the calories in the ice cream I ate tonight for my snack this evening.
We watched a couple episodes of Fraiser.
I am going to read some more of my book now until bedtime.
No Sims for me today!!!

I hope you had a terrific Tuesday!
Happyone :-)
Always do right.
This will gratify some people and
astonish the rest.

Funny how you're saying you're not playing Sims. Your life is so full I can see where it would take time away from the other things you love to do. Especially this time of year.

Your blog template is really organized. Great that you and Ken both are talented with the computer, etc.

Dinner sounded delicious. I know this comment is all over the place. I'm not a fan of short stories, but you should try Jeffrey Archer. His are great! Everyone I've talked to that has read Pillars has loved it. I should tackle it one day too. Maybe.

Happy Wednesday!

I like the new look of your blog. When I first clicked on today I thought I was at the wrong place. Your day sure sounds like a productive one. The dinner looks so good and quick and easy. I'll have to give it a try.

Tuesday was a nice day for me! Had a pedicure and read. Today I went to the gym, I'll work in the garden for a bit and then I'm going to the pool.

That simple recipe of yours sounds and looks good. We may give it a try. I agree that you shouldn't have to worry about calories after walking over eight miles. Enjoy.
