Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

I was out the door

this morning at 5:45!!! No rain on my walk but it was cloudy. It looked like the sun was going to come out but it just didn't make it. Didn't walk the paths, just down the sidewalk along the streets looking at gardens along the way.

That show The Shield, that I said I was going to watch yesterday was not to my liking - didn't even finish the one episode. Took that back to the library and got another one to try for tonight called, in Treatment. Never heard of it before - hope it's good.

My parents gave me a Barnes and Noble gift certificate for my birthday last week and today I looked around the store and bought a cookbook - Martha Stewart's Cupcakes.

Who would have thought there were so many different things to do with cupcakes! Oh what fun it will be to make these cupcakes!! I will be posting pictures when I do.

I was happy to look out of the window today to see them planting more trees along the side of the townhouses by the road. I was hoping that they would plant more. We have two more trees and three pine trees along the side of our house. More are planted farther down too.

It is now almost 5:00 and the sun has just come out about an hour ago. Nice to see the sun after three days of rain.
In a little while we are going to walk across the street to our local pizza place and have some pizza for supper. Then off to Weis to get some ice cream for later tonight.

Happy Saturday to you!!
Happyone :-)

I have a feeling you're going to make me very hungry if you post pictures of the different cupcakes you make. But go ahead, I'll be brave and face those pictures.
It sounds as if you had a great day and I hope your Sunday is just as good.

How fun to receive a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble. It looks like you made a good selection. The cupcake on the front cover looks yummy. I look forward to hearing about the recipes you try.

Instead of a wedding cake for our youngest's wedding, she wanted chocolate cupcakes. They were wonderful!!!
