Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A day at the old house

Another cool sun filled morning for walking around the lake. Today all the mowers were out cutting the grass around the lake. They sure have some huge mowers!! I spent the day at the old house once again. I painted more of the fence - this time down the side between our yard and the neighbors. I didn't even get half way done before running out of paint. I was kind of glad because I got tired of painting anyway! I packed myself some lunch to take along and sat out on the deck and ate it out there. Next I tackled mowing the lawn and mowed front and back. I also did a bit of weed wacking but forgot to bring the very long orange extension cord with me so couldn't finish it all, which again was just as well because I had enough of yard work too! Then it was time for me to go and pick Taryn up from work. This was the first time picking her up - all the other times I brought her to work. I got there a little early and went in the salon to say hi to Cheryl. I walked over to her station and she was busy cutting a clients hair so I just stayed a few minutes. Now it's after supper and the evening part of the day has begun. I'll do a little reading, knitting, watching a Netflix and have a snack (ice cream). I hope your day was a happy one. Happyone :-)

I'd say that you deserved your ice cream tonight after all the hard work you did at your old house.

You are a hard worker...so much on your plate right now with the two houses. Hope that the old one sells soon.

That sounds like a very busy day. Lunch on the deck must have been a welcome break in the chores.

Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

I like your new header. I think I remember something about your not changing it for a while....
